"Since the moment I walked in the door, the lady at the front desk was wonderful. The house was very welcoming and relaxing. Karen I believe was the lady who gave me an hour long massage; which relieved so many knots and tension I was having that lead me to a 7 day headache.. I defiantly can't wait to go back :)"

Tara Kavanagh R.M.T.

I was  drawn to Massage Therapy through my work as a Personal Support Worker,  supporting aging seniors, clients with disabilities and palliative  individuals nearing the end of their lives. I became very aware of the  power of touch and the positive benefits even a short hand or foot  massage could provide. I developed a keen interest in learning more  about Massage Therapy and how I could help to promote health and  wellness.

I  graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy  (CCMH) in June of 2014 and am registered with the College of Massage  Therapists of Ontario (CMTO).   My treatments incorporate therapeutic techniques, successful in helping to treat a  wide variety of conditions, with a relaxation based style, attending to  the stresses and demands of everyday life.

Upon your  arrival and before your treatment begins, I will review your  health history, discuss your treatment goals and perform a  physical assessment.

I will also explain the treatment plan as well as the techniques which I will be using before obtaining your consent to begin treatment.   Your  comfort, optimal health and well-being are at the heart of my treatments  and my goal is to help clients heal themselves. I look forward to  working with you.

Karen Marshall R.M.T.

In the past I worked for 20 years as an early childhood educator. Nearing the end of this time, I pursued holistic nutrition part time. I obtained my diploma from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition in 2006. I found I had more and more passion for the holistic field and lifestyle. At this time, I had a change in careers. I owned and operated my own business as a Holistic Nutritionist, consulting with others and supplying baked goods to such places as Goodness Me. This led me to my career in Registered Massage Therapy.

I graduated from Ontario College of Health and Technology in Stoney Creek Ontario, in December 2014, obtaining my diploma in Massage Therapy. I passed the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) provincial exams and officially became a Registered Massage Therapist in January 2015. Massage Therapy is where I feel a strong passion to focus more on the individual as a whole. I believe in listening to clients' needs and assessing the whole body.

Before treatment, I will take a detailed health history and talk with you about your treatment goals. This may be a relaxation massage to relax and rejuvenate the body or a deep tissue massage to break up adhesions within the muscular system and increase circulation to aid in healing.

I will do a postural assessment and provide a unique treatment plan for your individual needs. All information is kept confidential according to the Privacy Act.
